I paint my surrounds. Having recently relocated from Chicago to Mineral Point; my surrounds have shifted. Gone are the blocks of concrete, tall buildings, and Lake Michigan. They have been replaced by expanses of farmland, rolling hills, and big sky. Having chosen Mineral Point as my home, it has become one of my 5 descriptives.

These oil and pastel paintings are a few of the pieces I have been making to become acquainted with the altered '"where'" of my life. Each embracing my new home, a little more in love with each stroke.
